Benefits of joining the OHA
The OHA needs a strong membership and hence the funds to achieve its aims. The current annual fee is £15. What do you get for it? Our committee, run by unpaid volunteers, seeks to offer the following benefits to members:
- Help with organising both formal and informal reunion events
- An annual dinner, usually at the school, and a biennial dinner in London (suggestions for other social events are welcome)
- Discounted tickets for the annual OHA Dinner
- An annual, high quality, printed newsletter
- Contact with the wider Old Hulmeians community through Facebook and Google +
- News of the school
- Maintenance of a register of members (contact details etc)
- Priority booking for group hire of Harris House (Hardraw) in the Yorkshire Dales
- Sports sections such as golf and cross-country running (lacrosse is available at Brooklands Sports Club, Sale)
- Use of the OH Memorial Ground playing fields in Whalley Range and the Whalley Range Cricket Club facilities
- The OHA Members Website with access to the OHA archives
- Close contact with the school (if you want it) as it develops and changes with the modern world
- The satisfaction of knowing that your modest contribution is helping the OHA to benefit the school and its pupils through the provision of prizes, year books etc.
